Peplum Style...1940's to 2012...

Happy Monday lovies! I finally got to show off this red peplum dress that I purchased in August from USTrendy. I checked as of today's date, October 1st and it's still available and on sale!!

I love the peplum style and even though, I'm already pretty curvy, I think if you get the right fit, it's very flattering on any woman. The quality of the dress was perfect based on the pricing, which was $35, it ships international mail from the UK and comes to a little under $50 with shipping and handling to the US. It arrived with in 7-10 business days and was packed very well.

The fit was ok, I should have purchased a medium because I'm small upper but curvy on the bottom. I went with a large and found that it was too big on the top but fit fine on the hips. I had to take the back in for a better fit and found a great strapless bra to finish off the look.

I got this funky hat from another bloggers closet ( Blake Von D) and thought it went pretty good with the peplum dress look. I love that they brought this trend back, it's timeless, classy, and very feminine. The peplum style was a major trend during the 1940's and it was originally designed for women who wanted to enhance there hips and make them appear to have a more curvy figure.

I think I look pretty 1940's in these shots, with the hair, hat, and peplum, what do you think?

Enjoy the rest of the work week, Friday will be here before we know it.
